Product Details

Introducing our new silk tallow base with our most unique Midnight Stag fragrance.

While we still stand behind our OG base 100% and do not currently have plans to discontinue it, it has been five years since it was released and it was time to create a more modern shaving soap formula.

We tested ingredient after ingredient racking up fifty-six test batches before we settled on this one. The main secret is a massive amount of silk hydrolysate which is a very conditioning, natural, film-forming agent which is used in a lot of anti-aging creams (anti-aging statement not evaluated by the FDA, Yaya, yadda, etc).

Some of my testers reported feeling a skin tightening sensation - be aware that this is the film left by the silk hydrolysate.

For best results, load soaking wet brush for 40 seconds in the tub, then build lather on wet face for an additional minute.

-------------

This one is masculine. Like really, really masculine. Like a “take an old, beat up leather jacket, drape it over a couple of tires to make a table and clean your guns on it” kind of masculine. Dark, unrefined, and totally unresistible, this is a scent for those who don’t mind sticking out. Those who forge the paths. Those who are proud to be a man.

Scent is made of the following notes: Russian Leather, Motor Oil, Hoppes #9, Birch Tar, Oakmoss, Gasoline, Smoke, Cedar, Cade, Bergamot, Vanilla

Natural extracts and essential oils were used where possible, but some notes – such as Hoppes #9 and rubber are synthetic due to the nature of the scent.

------------

4oz of tallow based soap in a plastic tub (4" diameter and 2" tall).

The tub is oversized (designed for 6oz can hold 8oz if filled to the brim) to allow for easy loading of your shaving brush while making less mess.

Best shave I've used in ages

I have to shave every day due to my career. In the past, I always had to deal with my neck breaking out. I decided to go out on a limb and buy shave soap. I am glad I did, especially this product. No burning, rash, or issues are experienced now. Now the scent, my wife isnt a fan. But I purchased the Ghost Town Barber along with this scent... and the same results apply to it as well plus the wife likes it. Overall I couldn't be more satisfied and would recommend this product to others

Fantastic new base, same great scent

I've flirted with the idea of a full tub of Stag since the early days of my wetshaving journey. At first, the scent wasn't for me. With time, the dark greasy leather scent grew on me. It's rugged, masculine, and reminds me of days changing my oil or at the gun range with my dad growing up. This new base was worth my holding out on a full tub. Slick, slick, slick. It's probably the slickest base out there right now, just surpassing offerings from other top tier artisans. It was so slick I almost dropped my razor! Performance is a breeze. There's a trade-off in time and effort to lather, but the slick comfortable shave it provides is well worth it.
